For what it is it is perfect. I slept so good in this bed the blankets were nicely weighted. Rooms were cold which I liked and the window can open to let in fresh air. I showered and the pressure and heat was good. Breakfast was good too I made a waffle and it was yummy.

Very pleased with the maintenance and management of this motel. It is not new but very clean. Everyone was friendly and busy particularly looking after the front and the hot breakfast which is a bonus. Great example for the Choice chain.

Generally, I expect a 3-star experience from a Comfort Inn, but this place elevated it to a 4-star experience. The room I got and the whole hotel in general was immaculately clean. While not high end, the rooms were very well maintained and had new looking furnishings. The beds were very comfortable and had good quality pillows and coverings. The breakfast bar also offers eggs and bacon along with the standard things like cereal, yogurt, and bagels. Additionally, the front counter clerk was very friendly and accommodating. I will most definitely stay here again when passing through.

Clean somewhat dated rooms with a nice 90s vibe. Very clean. It is what you’d expect for a comfort inn. Nice staff and great hot breakfast !

Not much to choose from in KIrkland Lake. Rooms are expensive and need to upgrading. Breakfast is alright, not as much selection as other comfort inn's. Staff is 5 out of 5.

2025: When traveling in this area, we choose to stay at the Comfort Inn, Kirkland Lake. This was our 4th stay here in 2 years. We have always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We recognized Mayur and Rachel from previous visits. Check in was fast and professional. Our room was great - we were able to park outside and come in through the patio doors. Everything (from room to breakfast area to parking lot) was clean. I enjoyed that there was tons of hot water immediately available for the tub/shower and the nightlight in the bathroom. TV had so many channels; a bit tricky to use. Very quiet overnight. Hot breakfast items (omelets and bacon one day, sausages and scrambled eggs the next) were served up with a smile by Mayur, and other items (bread products/hot & cold cereal, muffins, waffles, yogurt etc) you chose your own. Not a large breakfast seating area. A very good location for us when we are rail-fanning this area; it's about a 40 min drive to Englehart and 1 hour 40 min to Cochrane, if you're railfanning the ONR as we were. 2023: We needed a place to stay for 1 night and had such a good experience (cleanliness and service) that we decided to come back for a second night. Rachel at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Mayur in the morning was super nice and attentive, taking care of our breakfast needs and keeping everything perfectly tidy. At check-in they had iced lemon water and a plate of cookies, which was a sweet touch for a weary traveler. The room we had was perfect, as we could back up to the sliding door on the ground level and just bring our stuff right in the room. Everything was clean and in good repair. Mini fridge/coffeemaker/microwave/clock... Could sit outside our room in provided chairs. They had nicely cared for baskets of flowers. Quiet comfortable sleep. Loved that they slipped the check-out receipt under the door in the morning so we could get going faster (few places do this) Breakfast was good: they served you hot eggs and sausage, and you could serve yourself bagels/toast/sweets, there was hot/cold cereal, a waffle iron, 3 kinds of fresh fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs and nice soothing music.
